Howdy westerners, northerners and all other inhabitants of the earth! My fingers are literally itching, (well not literally, that would be worrying) but in the figurative sense! As of recent i’ve been thirsty for some good old literature and here I am, making my very own first blog post! *does victory dance* Tumblr suggested that I ‘write about my day’ but trusting my own intuition, I’ve rebelled and chose to shun that idea. Soz boz.
Well I think the best place to start would be by introducing myself. Unless your fingers accidentally typed ‘www.DebraChosen.tumbler.com’ OR you miraculously stumbled upon my page, I should hope that you know (at least of) me.
For those that don’t, my name in actual fact is Debra Osedahunsi (yes I’m Nigerian) and i’m a poet, though by law I’m currently a student. I don’t have the hoody for proof, but I am at the University of Leicester. You’ll have to trust me on this one. English, Psycholgy and Politics, is the name of the game. Mouthful I know, but once I got my head around it, I really liked the variation.
Since January 2010, a lot of things have changed. By God’s grace i’ve been able to do shows, write till my heart’s content and met some AMAZING people along the way. But after a while, one must really branch out from the ‘Note’s’ section of Facebook you know? And hallelujah this is the day the Lord has made!
So join me as I rant about life in it’s entirety and laugh with me (not at me, please) as I attempt to entertain. I can’t promise that every post will be a best seller, but all I can guarantee is Openness, Experience and any one else I find along the way. As long as I can get you to ‘feel’, then I can sleep easy.
